About

me

This blog is written by Michael Cichowski. It contains random thoughts around technology, the internet, startups and anything else I can think of.

What do I do? The short version is that I’m a VC. I work as an associate at Edison Venture Fund, an expansion-stage fund that invests in information technology companies. Prior to VC, I worked in a variety of operating roles within technology and strategy consulting. I’ve managed software projects and teams at a large financial services firm on the buyside, launched a so-called “web 2.0″ product for a photo/video sharing startup and racked up the frequent flyer miles as a strategy consultant. My interests include SaaS, enterprise technologies (FinTech, IT Security) and bringing new products to market.

Personal interests include blogging (obviously), golfing, traveling, watching sports (go Mets!) and sushi.

Lastly, a quick disclaimer. All thoughts on this blog are my personal opinion and responsibility. They are in no way affiliated with my current or former employers.
