Wow! Steve finally did it.
Some quick details:
-3.5-inch wide touchscreen display
-2 megapixel cam
-4GB or 8 GB of storage
-Bluetooth with EDR
-WiFi that automatically engages when in range
-Quadband GSM radio with EDGE
-Runs OS X with support for Widgets, Google Maps, and Safari, and iTunes with CoverFlow (never heard of this one). By itself, this feature is amazing and extremely exciting. I hope they open it up.
-5 hours of battery life for talk or video, with a full 16 hours in music mode.
-$499 on a two-year contract, 8GB for $599.
-Ships in June, Europe in fourth quarter, Asia in 2008.

UPDATE:
-I’ve been searching everywhere for details on the Mac OS X used in the iPhone and have come up with nothing. Is Apple going to keep the platform closed? I really hope not. The mobile web is begging for openness and real innovation. Let’s wait and see what happens.
