Yankees vs. Red Sox

I love baseball. I always have. I played in high school and was a decent player – hit over .400 with +30 RBIs in 16 games. Not great, but pretty good. Anyway, I’m a Mets fan and always have been. I follow the team, but am not obsessed. I gave up the obsession years ago, but still find myself watching SportsCenter at all hours of the night.

So, I went to my first Yankee game in 15 years last night (vs. Red Sox). As I mentioned earlier I’m a Mets fan, but I do hate the Red Sox so I couldn’t miss this opportunity. I really never hated any team until I lived in Boston for a while. Pretty much every person in Boston is obsessed with the Red Sox – and I mean every person. It’s actually kind of funny. Back to the game. We had seats right behind the left field foul pole. Most people (myself included) in this area were taunting Manny Ramirez the entire night. He seemed to enjoy it and laughed at the crowd a few times. Overall, it was a fun night, but unfortunately the Yanks lost the game. Oh well. As long as the Red Sox don’t win the World Series I’ll be happy.
